The Black Isle Stud was established in 2007, by Iain and Rebecca Richmond. We are based on the Black Isle, 12 miles north of Inverness, Scotland.

The business is family run. Eilidh is a full-time member of the team and Ewan helps out when he is not in school.

We have 30 acres of land, and since 2007 have steadily improved the facilities here. All our fields have large shelters. We have a large barn housing 8 stables, & a small stable block on the other side of the house, housing 2 stables along with an isolation paddock.

We have a set of stocks for scanning mares in etc, which often cuts out the necessity for sedating mares before scanning.

As well as the wonderful pure bred, we are looking to produce versatile Part Bred Arabians that will excel in a variety of disciplines.

We currently offer live covering in-hand. If the mare is reliable and well mannered, then we may be happy for her to run with the stallion.

We are hoping to be able to offer A.I. for our 2 stallions for 2018.

The 2 boys are homebred, purebred Arabians. We have also used the world renowned Arabian Stallion H-Tobago who saly died last year.

We have a good variety of youngstock, much of which is for sale. All our horses are handled and brought on using Intelligent Horsemanship methods.

We are a warm and welcoming stud, and our door is always open to visitors.
